I just hit my 5 yr anniversary with my 2014 Storm and have loved trying out and testing tunes from this site for years. Seems like we lost our tuners recently as there hasn't been a new tune posted to the " Tune Repository" since almost 2019 ! Been playing with tunes from SLCHARGER REV 1 & REV 2, DAZ's V.4 / V.5 / V.6, NAH's power tunes.

Is there anything new out there for 1700 ?

ECUs on the newer models are all locked up, surprised yours isn't.
So, this site probably has the best tune library on the 'Net.

Dave might have a tune or two, probably for bagpipes tho. ;-)

I do continue to work with tunes, but my ride is by now and has been for some time, so modified that those tunes would not work on OEM bikes, only causing trouble.

Sorry that I can't contribute.

Sorry Dave, that was a cheap shot. At least you bought an American bike.
'Course, Indian will have to change its name to avoid offending the woke cancel culture. Ask the Cleveland Indians about Chief Wahoo.

Everything for the Storms and Thunderbirds is getting harder and harder to come by ...I actually put by Storm up for sale this year because of it. All of the new owners are realizing that you cant find any accessories for them anymore and the old owners are wondering how long until we can't find replacement parts for them. Too bad......

I bought the batwing off a fellow last year that had it custom made for his Storm. He told me the person who made it took a regular Memphis Shades batwing and cut it in half then added the strip down the middle to shape it for the dual lights and pieced it back together.

Its great for getting the wind off of the chest and body but at 6'2" im having trouble finding the right windshield height to eliminate the buffeting around the helmet...

You may find lower deflectors will help. I had helmet buffeting with my Indian and these solved 90% of the problem. I also fitted a flared screen to the fairing which also helped. The lowers came from JES custom accents.

Still here.

I think we have reached the point where there is very little to be gained.
For sure, as we all do our own thing, minor alterations to our tunes will be necessary,
however with in the grand scale of things the trusty old thunderbird, being devoid of large scale
bolt on retail mods, we have reached the end of the road.

Not helped at all, by Triumph going down the route of locking ECU's and then discontinuing the model.

I every now and then get a brain fart, and tinker with the tune, and inevitably go back to the tried and tested tune, from a few years back.

The more I understand the human race, the more I love my bike.

For everyone pointing out the locked ECU's, need to go back to TuneECU website.

They are now compatible with the LT's and Commanders (Storms were never locked). They now recommend using Android and a Bluetooth setup, and can do Diagnostics and Write tunes to the ECU.

Just wanted to say thanks Aussietbird
I had been using the triumph aftermarket exhaust tune for years and slowly over time the bike just seemed to be losing power and the popping on decel was getting outrageous.
Last week I uploaded your 1600 tune and wow what a transformation, alot less popping and the torque through the range is way better.
Thanks again
